Congratulations to Norton internet security AND Norton
antivirus on SIMULTANEOUSLY NOT DOING THEIR JOB OF
PROTECTING MY COMPUTER. So im just browsing a website that
has never caused me problems before, and all of a sudden I
get norton popping up telling me I have a bunch of virii and
that it is deleting them. Well I guess one or two got
through somehow, and I no longer have a desktop of any kind
(well the icons are still there) but there is some kind of
fucked up html virus covering the background, and when I
right click properties all I can see is the properties of
this bullshit html virus motherfucking fuck. it's apparently
the C:\\Windows\Web\desktop.html virus, and it really feels
great to have my computer back after not having it for
months, only to have it raped and pillaged. GOD DAMNIT. I'm
going to find this "Norton" asshole and SHIT IN HIS MOUTH
AND THEN WE'LL SEE WHO'S GOT A VIRUS.

if you are trying to help then I'm sorry if this sounds
rude, but what exactly is that website supposed to do for
me? I don't know the exact name of it so finding it from a
list isn't going to work, and when I try to download the
client I need a username and password to even access the
file.

trial version

If this doesn't fix you up I'd be very surprised.

is that earlywarningthreat thing a good idea? like is it
useful as an added level of protection?

thanks for the link too, btw. I don't know why it was asking
me for a username/pw before.

Whut? I have no idea what you're talking about. Me, I just
install Nod and let it auto-update. What
earlywarningthreat?

You need to register to download the full version. The demo
doesn't require a username / pass to download. It's exactly
the same fully functional product but it times out after 30
days. BTW, if you buy the full version before installing you
have to completely uninstall the demo first.

well I have murdered a virus at home because it was small
and stupid, easy-to-find by size and date and using simple
self-protection like updating registry every second so that
one file was used by the system and 'could not' be deleted.
shift+delete UpdReg.exe and clean the registry a little,
then shift+delete the virus file.
I have no antivirus progs installed on my pc yet. But the
Kaspersky monitor from another comp has noticed the virus
through the lan not letting it to that another comp, which
made me respect it.

symantec antivirus serves me well,

it's like a business version of N.A.V. from what I've been
told.
