yeah, a friend just bought it and we watched it and we laughed all the fucking way! it's a tiresome movie (your stomach will hurt), but it's definately worth it! |

I've seen a few clips and Miikes version is much weirder.. it's just the main plot that's taken from the korean one, I think. |

yea, there's so much great stuff in this film, I've seen it 4 times now, it only gets better after consequent viewings! Honestly, hearing that makes me calmer - stuff like "dem bones" or "Richard" is so Miike, it can't be a total rip-off! :) |

hahaha! dem bones! (apparently that "dem bones" thingie isn't really translated correctly.. he's really singing a song about his skull, but to make it "familiar" to english watchers, they used the song "dem bones (dem bones, dem.. dryyy bones, dem bones, dem bones, dem.. DRYYY bones. the leg bone's connected to the [...])" in the translation. |

hey, now that "leg's bone's connected..." part gave me vivid flashbacks of the last episode of "The Prisoner"... ! But you know, mistranslations probably double the laughs for any asian film in western audiences! I bet Stephen Chow would not be nearly as funny if we actually had any clue. (or would it?) |
