Anyone ever heard of them? Saw them live a couple of weeks
ago... It's Kristin Hersh's (Throwing Muses) new band. I
really like their simple, but powerful, catchy songs... I
think they deserve to become more popular then they are
right now .

OK so we're not talking about an actual 50 foot wave then

*exits thread*

I know this band!

I'm a big Throwing Muses/Kristin Hersh-fan, so naturally I
also bought the 50 Foot Wave EP and LP.

I'm not too enthusiastic about them - they sound a lot like
the last Throwing Muses album, which also was a bit of a
disappointment to me. it all sounds very loud but kind of
indistinctive to me.

Hi, I don't know Kristen Hersh/ The Throwing Muses but that
won't stop me showing my face in this thread and revealing
myself to be an utter fucking ignorant cunt...
fucking hell.

The Real Ramona, Mania, Your Ghost... lots of other
songs/albums. I had no idea she had a new band, I will
check this "shit" out.

yeah, she disbanded Throwing Muses yet again and now does
the 50 Foot Wave thing.

it's very Loud, mr. _belch.

I have also heard rumours she's working on another acoustic
record.

I liked her first solo lp after th' Muses, I wasn't keen on
Firepile... pfff, I don't know, I lost track with the native
indian lullabyes, she does too much I guess, but I'd like
to hear it none the less.

her last acoustic endeavour, "the grotto", is more like the
first "hips and makers".
