I bought one of these on ebay recently, and coupled with a new case and motherboard (my old case was falling apart and my old mb died), my computer feels revamped. It has transformed into a Doom3-slaying, HL2-shredding, Far-Cry-Fucking maniac of a machine and, well, it feels good. Just thought I'd share my rare moment of joy with you fine people. |

oh, well, I bought a brand new 500watt power supply too, hehe, forgot to mention that. so hopefully that won't happen to me anytime soon. Sorry for your loss. =/ |

yeah.. well now i have a new amd64 3200+. it's fast, i guess, but my videocard is pretty useless.. a radeon 9250 or something lame. doesn't seem worth it to get a real one. they cost way too much for what little use i'd give it. |

yeah, my old one was a 9500... it could run most games at medium settings, but I found a deal I couldn't pass up so I decided to spring for a new card, and I'm glad I did. I haven't done much gaming in a long time, but now that I have my computer back (it was broken for a few months before I finally had the cash to fix it up), I've been having some of the most fun of my life playing video games in amazing detail. |

I've had a new teeny little laptop for a month, it's the love of my life. I've been very productive ever since I got it, since it's inspired me to write all sorts of weird shit and just begs me to use it. |

a friend of mine has that exact laptop... it's unbelievable how small they can make those things now-a-days. The screen on it is top quality too, so you don't even notice that your total viewing area is half that of a regular laptop. She (my friend) comes from a wealthy family and she wouldnt tell me how much her parents paid for it.. just out of curiosity how much did that baby set you back? |

I've been thinking about getting an XL. I wondered though, is it better than the pro? |

nope, not really... the Pro has a faster core clock speed (475mhz compared to 400mhz for the XL), but the Pro is only a 12-pixel-pipeline architecture, whereas all the other X800s, including the XL, are 16. The XL also has slightly faster ram speed (500mhz compared to 450mhz). |

wait I thought you were asking if the Pro was better, so, in that case, Yes the XL is better than the Pro in 2 of the 3 main categories. |
