Yes! I remember getting the small gold one, 'nugget' as a
reward for being really well behaved during a course of
injections and not crying once.

Transformers that turn into irregularly shaped lumps of
plastic, that really look nothing like rocks :D

I remember buying lots of the other ones at a jumble sale a
year later.

What about those gladiator things (figurines on a podium),
that you used to play top trumps style battles with and
you'd win tiny plastic skulls from your opponent, which you
could siplay round the edge of your stand, what were they
called?

KADO: I'm still bitter I wasn't allowed an air pistol till I
was 17 and even then they didn't like it. If only they knew
about my throwing knife I kept hidden for years and used to
play with when they were out. Mwahahaha!

That yellow helicopter thing with the red rocket launcher
was the one I took to church to play with on Christmas day,
aged 7. :)

haha I also had "nugget" and the guy i posted above. Its
true, they didn't look like rocks, just shiny lumps of
plastic poo.

I have no idea what those gladiator things are... *shrug*

Bang on- flip top front window, rotating turret gun. Working
dual rocket launchers 2 crew seats and, if I recall
correctly, a flip down ramp for the squaddies to pile out at
the back?

That vehicle was an 'odd one out', the other 9 were themed
in colour/role into 3 groups, water land and air, weren't
they?

hahahaha! i think my decal just changed colors from all
this nostalgia! muscle-men were awesome!

i've been trying to remember wtf battlebeasts were called
for about two years. i definitely had the one weathered
posted. but did they all come with weapons? i didn't have
a single weapon. maybe i was given used battlebeasts or
something. i had a small army of them, though. i played
with those a lot...

And a crane. You're right though, the fort is probably the
one I remember least well.

*looks at the link* That's the one :)

back then it wasnt so gay, there is a line - after you reach
a certain age and you are still playing with these things,
that equals gay

Surely you mean:

back then it wasnt gay at all, there is a line -
after you reach
a certain age and you are still playing with these things,
that equals gay

"Monsters in my Pocket" anyone?

(not as good as Battle Beasts, but still addictive to
collect)

Word. I used to have the giant volcano/mountain stand to put
them all in. I dunno why I was so obsessed with those stupid
plastic things, all they did was stand there. I also have
the video game for NES.

i bet the game was shit. i think i chopped a few up when i
got bored of them and also bit their heads off. but somehow
they were addictive yeah, i agree.

Well the game was loosely based on the toys. I busted it out
months ago with my friend because we were going through all
our old NES games. We had fun beating the game, but its
probably something we wont ever play again.

I just remembered my favorite toy ever: Metlar, Tendril and
D-Compose... The Inhumanoids!
Humongous action figures complete with their own wicked
cartoon.

I think he had a stubby tail... These were huge... the
normal human/cyborg people they fought only came up to their
waste and they were like the size of he man action figures.
In the cartoon tendril could not be killed by being cut
because each cut off piece would grow into a new tendril...
ha ha, decompose always went around hissing his own name
"Ddd-COMPpPOOOOSsEe!!". I think I liked decompose the best.

I still have some Battlebeasts, I really cherish those
things. People keep stealing them though! Can't say I blame
them.
