NOISE.

I don't see the point in buying it when I can make it very
easily in about 5 minutes on a novation+distortion plugins.
yes.

The Japanese call it Zen Noise. I'm into it but I'm not
going to explain here. Most people say they can make noise
but when they do it pales in comparison. I stick by what I
said before; when the glitchloop kicks in on Ramatam I feel
like I can smash thru walls. Just because you don't like
something doesn't make it shit, if you like something you
like something. It wouldn't exist if there wasn't demand for
it.

I was sorely disappointed when MEN02 came out. I was under
the impression that AFX and Merzbow had collaborated but it
turned out to be the Russell Haswell equivalent of noise.
Nothing to do with Merzbow.

you're obviously incredibly ignorant. when you learn the
first thing about anything you're trying to talk about, make
a new thread and try again.

There is nothing more fun then making your own noise, the
kind that you can er.. melt into if you get what I'm going
on about. It's not really that important you understand,
what's important is that I like such things so I'll keep on
with it.

Furoi; Being from Italy perhaps you are into Eiffel65? I
have all their albums and tough shit if you don't like that
either. :>

what's wrong?
°_°

i don't judge noise movement, i just used some english slang
(i can't use it correctly maybe), anyways i still prefer
gerogerigegege and boredoms creations than merzbow
creations...i prefer that concept

i hope you aren't all offended...i didn't want to do that

viva eiffell65!
lol

Actually I can see the appeal of noise, but I'm bothered by
how a lot of it literally DOES sound like layers of white
noise+distortion. In all seriousness, can somebody here
reccommend some noise music that sounds like effort and
thought has been put into it-noise which is an interesting
experience? I did find 1930 by Merzbow strangely enjoyable.

1930 rulez, you are right.
Check out the Merzbow untitled track from Nanoloop 1.0
compilation. I think it does 'sound like effort'.

What's the name of that band that's one of the first noise
bands? I forgot the name but I know they're notorious for
live vomiting and shitting on stage. Even screamo fans can't
take mess with that.

when you say things like, "anybody listen to this shitty
shit?" and "masonna and merzbow are merely shitty noise" -
that's rather coarse and ridiculous. that's the perfect way
to get someone who listens to the music angry and it is not
condusive to a good discussion about the music.

I remember reading about them, and seeing pictures of them
in The Wire. Some nice disgusting pictures of a
vomit-covered stage in there.

Forgot the name, I'll dig it out for you later.

Thank you for that link. I'm very glad to find out about
NexSound.org too!

I highly recommend 'Human Breeding' by Dissecting Table.
Especially the first track; Least mean square algorithm for
personality alteration. This was one of my first Noise
purchases and remains a favourite of mine to this day. I
have also been enjoying 'Unlock the mysteries of the sun' by
Merz and Hassle well again recently.
