I was flipping through the channels the other day, and lo' and behold, they were playing a modified version of cliffs while they were telling you about the 10 pieces of shit spot. |

MTV US is stuck playing utter shit 24/7. Although for only about 1 hour in the day they're actually playing MUSIC instead of the 'Real World'. |

I watch MTV2 more, MTV in the night time can be quite funky, but in the day it's bombarded with Britney!!! hehe Bombarded With Britney ! That sounds cool ! |

Yes in MTV:Europe(it´s not the same as MTV:UK) they usually at friday nites like at 3am they show windowlicker and Donkey Rhubarb videos thats all. |

If you stay up past midnight, you can watch 2 ecletic, which is ok, but there is a lot of coffee table shit as well. The eyen vid is crap! I song sounds flat, and the video is as boring as hell. At least they play some cornelius. What i hate is why we have to stay up to the wee hours to see anything half decent? Its shit really. |

Viva Zwei(german) is by far the best music channel I know of - Ive seen all the RDJ videos there, every sonday and thursday they had a show with good videos and one time it was a portrait of RDJ, sadly the channel dosn't exit no more |

oh yeah..ive noticed that...the music they play on their little advertisements does sound a lot like the voice from cliffs... are you talking about mtv2 or regular mtv? sometimes if you can stay up late enough..mtv2 plays aphex on that "dance" show they have on friday nights..er saturday mornings a couple weeks ago they even played the video for 'on'...but you have to sit through 4 hours of crappy dance videos...90% of which are played on a weekly basis...a few gems here and there however...which is more than i can say about regular mtv..or mtv2 during the rest of the week for that matter ..actually, mtv2 used to be quite cool...up until a little over a year ago..when they "relaunched" for cable...since then its only gone downhill...very fast...just a few months ago..they had amp on at a reasonable hour...now they changed the name and moved it to the wee hours of the morning..much like regular mtv did a few years ago.. i bet within a year or two mtv2 will only be used to show repeats of mtv shows.. ah well...just one more reason not to watch tv.. |

I gave up on the US MTV a long time ago, but when i visited Germany a couple of years ago I watched Viva and MTV Germany (Europe?) and I couldn't believe there was actually good music being played on mtv somewhere in the world. Saw lots of techno videos. |

I never saw any of the aphex videos on MTV, and I used to watch alot of those programs. One of the first times I heard Aphex was actually on CKY2K, when they use Come to Daddy as background music while they do some crazy shit. |

They used to have this show on US MTV called "12 angry viewers" where a panel of judges would watch videos, and the ones that they liked would be put into heavy rotation. They all liked come to daddy, too bad that show isn't around still. They picked some good videos. |

yeah, xlr..12 angry viewers played some cool stuff..i think thats where i first saw aphex actually...remember the '12 angry parents' special? heheh..they played come to daddy on that one too..didnt get as positive of a response however...shocked and horrified was more like it... |
