Hi all, I'm new here so wondering if you can tell me - is
it OK to plug my music here? I reckon if you're into Aphex
Twin you might like my tunes! But I don't want to upset
anyone, so let me know if it's cool and I'll post the link.

I'll take that as permission then!

Check out www.exismusic.com

As I said, if you like Aphex Twin (which you obviously do
since you're here) you might just like Exis and I'd be
interested to hear any comments you might have. Cheers!

Blimey that was quick! Glad you liked it, don't forget to
vote in the poll for your favourite track.

Most of it is done on PC using soundfonts and samples, also
occasionally use a DX7 and Roland XP-10 (crap synth but
comes in handy sometimes!). 'Her Hair Is Wet' was made with
a Yamaha TG-55 that I recently picked up, I dare say that
will make an appearance in future Exis work too.

"the hardest part" was the track i first listened too and
ive got to say it made me smile throughout!
thats got to be a roland steel drum at the start?
the tune flows perfectly so i take it your up on structure,
have you peformed live n stuff yet?
ive yet to swat up on the rest but keep up the good work!
what setup have you got? are you using nearfields and what
mixer have you got?

Another satisfied customer ;-)

If I remember rightly the steel drum bassline is from Roland
XP-10, well spotted!

I haven't performed live with Exis, I'm not really sure how
I'd do it. Something to think about in the future.

For a mixer I'm using a crappy old Tascam 4-track (can use 6
channels when just using it as a mixer), not fantastic but
it does the job when I don't have much to put through it.
Hopefully will be getting an 01V soon though.

My monitoring is done through standard Gale hi-fi speakers,
they actually do the job really well, probably since I know
exactly what I'm getting out of them having used them for
years both for listening to music and making it.

Now stop messing about here and listen to the other tracks
;-)

Very nice stuff man!!!!!!!!
Your style is not my cup of tea but you really got some
production skillz.

Thanks Sido, glad to hear you say that as I've really been
trying to improve my production skills over the last couple
of years (I generally consider myself a composer/arranger
first and producer second) - it's obviously working!

There's some good stuff on there - haven't got through it
all yet, but so far my faves are the polcxd tracks and the
evolume one (apparently sharing my view that the DX7
deserves an award for outstanding contribution to humanity?)
