nicer, part 1

let me know what you think. this was made using ableton 4.0,
standard plugins, nothing too fancy (obviously). also i
don't have a midi controller so the melodic aspect of it is
lacking.

thx..

it definetly lacks melody, but I like the beats.
nevertheless it is too one-dimensional.

eh, 109 people signed up, 4 or 5 of us post every few days.
there's not too much of an interest in idm/experimental
stuff here.

on the other hand, i've been given a room at a club on May
27th to book whoever i want (no money involved though), so
at least that's happening. i've also linked up with a few
more people that are trying to push things, so things are
looking up in a general sort of way. ;]

i see. so not much of life at that board. and you're not too
often here, either.

the track is not bad. not my thing really but i would
definitely jump and hop about to this in a club situation.
i've tried ableton last week, nothing exciting in it for me.
the piano roll is quite poor. but i gave it too little
attention maybe.

the piano roll is pretty crappy, if we're using the same
aspect. i really like that i can lay out all of my loops,
modify them without affecting the original file. you can
really do a lot once you get in there and start editing
everything. i'll be posting newer stuff soon.

yeah, i haven't been on xltronic much and i do miss it.
unfortunately i don't have internet at home anymore and my
job has been 'watching' our internet usage. =/

that's bad.

well, recording and or/adding effects in live mode was quite
exciting in ableton. it did sound very fresh. i might give
this soft another try someday.

it's ok. the effects trickery is cool and everything, but
it's not enough to carry the track. like you said, it's
lacking melody. if it had a nice melody and bassline it
would be really good.
