What a classic this is. I just started listening to it for the first time in ages today. It puts me in a weird trance; sure, it is a bit repetitive and "obvious" in places, but I think that adds to the overall effect. It has dated very well, and sounds a lot more lush then lots of new shit I'm hearing. |

They just don't make them like this anymore, sadly. Not even Orbital. I am going to put a tax on the word "lush" though. You're allowed in this instance though as "Lush" is included on the album. |

I had both the Lush singles, and to be honest, all the mixes sound exactly the same. I'll have to listen again though, I'm sure that's not true. |

the first Lush is more true to orbital's techno roots but the second one is better for people makin the transition from pop to e-music |

Hmmm. "The Middle of Nowhere" isn't that bad at all. I don't know why everyone seems to dislike it; it sounds great fun to me. It's quite silly in places, but I love Orbital's playfullness; I wish more new electronic music had their sense of fun and accessibility. |
