first of all: I know nothing about music, I am a total
ignorant, so sorry if I say some stupid things here
___________________________________________________

obviously rossz is full of samples... but that doesnt rest
him merit... sampling is an art in itself... and not playing
guitar, basss or keyboard doesnt mean someone is not a
musician, cos the computer is a really good instrument
actually... and you need skills to make the music... music
is in the head not in the instrument

about rossz, I like it, but no way its his best album... the
strings are nice, and though some samples are large as you
can identify easily the original cut.. they are very well
put together and very nicely played with, cut and pasted and
all... and the breaks are really nice

other albums amazed me more than this one, but this one is
maybe the most playful, so thats nice... but far from being
his best

actually I have a higher opinion on hisa thow latest eps
8winnipeg and infolepsy) which are much charder and
danceable-smashing straight, but at the end more him... more
fresh I would say

yesterday I had the incredible oportunity of listening to
vsnares live... and man, that was blasting

rossz as I said didnt melt me at home, but live its so much
more powerful... the breaks of course... but also the violin
moments and the talked samples... they let you breath ina
very misterious atmosphere in the concert.... very very
nice... and thenm of course some epidermis, where´s bill...
winnipeg, making orange things... absolutely like being in
the middle of a fucking bomb war

recomended

many people seem to hat vsnares... but many do love him
also... when artists cause sucha rito among fans, thats
because they are bringing some interesting product I would
say

also, he is a very nice man... talking to him was like
talking to any of my friends... he is shy I think... and
very dwon to earth... he asked me where I was going after
the show, to go dancing and all... but I couldnt, and I
warned him that madrid is empty of g

btw, I love Venetian Snares. When I said the breaks were
boring, I only really meant considering his other output;
they are just a bit same-old same-old (although obviously
I'd kill to be able to create sharp breaks like those.)

While I have no problem with sampling, I do dislike it when
large chunks of other music are taken and it's obvious where
they are from. That's just a personal thing.

a collage can be made out of small cuts or large cuts... but
both collages can be equally beautiful

@-crazone indeed
@betamaxheadroom thx, I'll check them all....I'm in
breakcore mode lately

I thought I read "chocolate rain" first muahhaha

-------------

Would you it's his opus magnum so far ? Has he topped that
album with another one ever since ? I've read some reviews
e.g. at discogs and they vary

Fav moment for me is surely Szamar Madar

overall, excellent mix of breaks, bass and classical
samples. sounds like he put lots of work in to it. very
detailed stuff. <3 music

Szamár Fucking Madár

= masterpiece

definition of "fucked up beats vs lush melodies"

= Lush Dance Music

that's all I wanted to say

oh and "my downfall" is, yeah, similar - but does not have
such an impact as Rossz. I need to give it more time and
listens, though.
