Yes I used to play Elite on the BBC - it was excellent. The
BBC Micro was my first computer!

Anyone ever had enough money to buy a large plasma
accelerator?
And did someone already fly into a panther clipper?
And will frontier dev. release a new frontier?

Frontier was utter wank. It never lived up to Elite, i hated
it so much.

Play hardwar if you want some action (baby). Plus its got a
warp records soundtrack, which is nice.

All wrong. Elite was cool,
Frontier was awesome!
I never had the feelings to be really in space before this
game come. It's absolutly incredible.
Hardwar is pretty close from those two...
All the music were from Warp rec.
but i had a repacked warez release, so i never could finish
it.

kalaim badkaama in what computer did you play it an Atari St
maybe? I have played the Elite in my Amiga600 but I was
always smashing into stuff too hard for me.

i begun playing this one on Amiga500.
I Had then a A1200 wich was better for a fast game, then i
switched to pc, i hunted for this masterpiece for long, and
i found it again.
i'm still playing it, hehe.

Many of my songs are inspirated by this game, some of the
tracks got the names of orbiters, or systems, from the
game... I luv it sooooo much!

Hardwar is a bloody tough game. Completed it though, took me
long enough, though. And yes, the soundtrack is great.

as i said, i had a warez version, i had to discover all by
myself. So i must left a great part of the scenario behing
me.

I kept hunting down Pirates, and KLamp G People for three
month...

I've played all Elite versions to death. Right now I'm
waiting for Eve-Online.com to go into beta and when it's out
I'll start my own travel agency website (for the game).

AAAH can't wait!!

promising.

NES Elite is the Best! David Braben agrees (the creater of
Elite). It's being copied for the new Gameboy Advance
version - I CAN'T wait!

This game will 0wn! Been on their boards for 1½ years now
(pretty sad, I know). Those screens are ingame! The
interface hasn't been revealed yet.

Originally beta was scheduled for december, but they're 2
months behind now. Large scale beta should start later,
maybe april or may.

And yes, it's all about Elite online. Players can start
their own corporations, deal in shares, acquire skill packs
in the shape of neural implants (instead of camping for
levels).

ah now I'm rambling..

players vs environment crap like EQ. If you kill someone,
you can be proud of it! :)
