It can't go down. Its here to stay. Its just not trendy
anymore.

For trendy cutting edge music, you might as well look toward
indie.

It was a gimick to many.

i feel like im too much into indie already and would like
some quality electronica again :)

For reasons why it is no longer trendy, you need look no
further than moby. He gave it the same kind of stigma as
celiene dion gave her music.

Well, its an established genre. Indie will get boring for
everybody very soon. Maybe you should look for some new
prog-rock...

Try looking to the past. There is some great older
electronic stuff out there. I am just beginning to explore
this field :)

that is a really interesting point actually now when i think
about it. i wonder if you know the answer to that or is that
a rhetorical question?

can you name some prog rock bands? not sure what that is :)

as for old electronica, that's pretty much the only type of
electronica i can listen to these days..

obara, pink dots?

when you consider there is probably been more music recorded
than you would have time to listen too in a lifetime ( times
10), i'm sure there are quite a few "new" things for us all
to find and enjoy.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2005-05-12 06:10 [#01595827]

oh definitely! there's plenty of awesome old music i found
out about in the past year or so..

what like?

recently i've been getting into jaques brel, nina simone,
and jesu, whilst rediscovering bands from my very misplaced
youth. slayer, godflesh, napalm death, cocteua twins and
QUEEN.
