I'm listening to Come on You Slags at this moment, and I
just ate some green grapes. My stomach hurts a little today,
I'm pissed off about that.

I bought Syphon Filter 3 on Thursday, and I just beat the
mission where Benton is in the truck... fuck, it's hard to
stop the Afghans before they blow up the truck! And it took
me a long time to figure out that to get to the ruins with
the enemy mortars, you have to go the OPPOSITE direction,
and take the tunnel under the road and into the ruins.
Sniper Valley is pretty tough, that Ellis is a real pussy.

I have grape juice in my facial hair, how disgusting is
that?

Holy shit, look at my lamp... it's full of dust!

How do you like Syphon Filter 3 Ophecks?

I havn't played it yet, but I'de like to get it, but only if
it is better than Syphon Filter 2, which I thought was
crap.

I prefer the second Syphon Filter, actually. The
trial-and-error sneaking missions were frustrating, but very
rewarding... the game just seemed much more challenging. I
haven't had a real problem with the third one yet. Not
enough stealth!!!!!!! Too much wanton carnage.

A-MUSIK (GERMANY)

Artist: BEIT & JORG SCHLICK, ANDI
Title: Diese Wildnis Hat Kultur
Label: A-MUSIK (GERMANY)
Format: CD
Price: $15.00
Catalog #: A21 CD
"The set for the new production of the ballet Der Krieger
(Graz Opera House, Studiobühne) is on a serial image
concept. Projected image panels act as a stage set that
forms a subtle grid background for the one-man performance
(choreography: Jörg Schlick). The symphony Diese Wildnis
hat Kultur (1982) forms the musical base of the dance
performance. One instrument is reserved for each of the four
movements: Jörg Schlick: violin, flutes, violoncello and
electric guitar; Andi Beit: synthesizer. 'Minimalist form
was combined with Expressionist social comment' wrote Jack
Anderson (New York Times, 21.05.1985) in his critique of the
première. This reference to the field of tension between
the minimalist vocabulary of forms or object gesture
(performers) and the expressive portrayal of social
conditions hits on a fundamental aspect of Schlick's work.
The symphonic composition accompanies the performance like a
'synthetic heartbeat' that corresponds to the intensity of
Beethoven's 'Eroica' in terms of its tonal character. The
'deflection of the needle', the electronic display of tonal
intensity and pitch of the classical symphony, acted as the
score for Jörg Schlick."

ABDUCTION

Artist: SUN CITY GIRLS
Title: High Asia/Lo-Pacific
Label: ABDUCTION
Format: 2CD
Price: $17.00
Catalog #: ABD 021
Volume nine/ten in a series of hopefully never-ending CDs
under the title of the Sun City Girls' Carnival Folklore
Resurrection. The first disc features short, glorious studio
tracks that live up to the splendor of titles like "The Yeti
Stiff Compound Evacuation Ray". One of the best all-out
goose-bump inducing SCG artifacts to date. Disc 2 is 40
minute piece of field recordings from the vast SCG
stockpile, recorded throughout Asia 1989-1998. This
particular bit seems to consist of shortwave radio
recordings from Burma, 1998.
