dont you people love James Bond!?

"THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH!" That song send shivers down my
spine!

James Bond is the best. I want to be James bond.

I don't like the books, though. They are clever. I just like
the films with big guns and shooting and women.

I used to be fanatical about James Bond. My opinion of it
went down dramatically when 'Die Another Day' was released.
Two of my favourites are 'You Only Live Twice' and 'Tomorrow
Never Dies'.
'Goldeneye' also has a special place in my heart.

Ba dam ba dam!

I agree.

WHen in certain moods, i want a good psychological thriller
or something a little more complex and dark.

But nothing beats Bond when you just want instant action and
some fun.

"well it's got action, attractive women, sex, witty

the kind of action, attractive women, sex and witty comments
that 50-year-old men who mostly spend their time hanging

that's it - when someone criticises something you like, just
say they're being "too critical".

this is on par with saying "You Just Don't Get It".

OK all I'm saying is people look too far into James Bond
(and other things like it) when all it is is ("is is" ha!)
an object of entertainment. It wasn't made to provoke minds
and question certain aspects of society. It was made as a
form of entertainment for people to watch and get thrills.
That's all I'm saying. It doesn't need to be disected so
much! Did you enjoy any of the bond films? I ask you that.

I used to really like them when I was 12 years old or so (I
know that sounds like a snobby line, but I really did!).

then again, I haven't seen anyone in this thread
"dissecting" these films "so much".

all that has been said is that people think the new ones are
boring. we're not going very deep there, are we?

I like James Bond, I thought Brosnan was good and I suspect
"Die another day" was the last proper Bond film. "Young
Bond" with Orlando Legolas is going to be just plain
horribe, another version of "Casino Royale" is unwanted.

I like the campy humour, I think it's arch without being
annoying, it always "looks" good, it's a spectacle, I can
always watch them on a bank holiday (or international
equivalent), Partridge likes them, I did watch a Bond
marathon not so long ago, I like Roger Moore better than
Connery.
