it's a heavy burden to be a mod... to have the ability to ban members and close threads is cooL. But you have to make "good" use of it. and im sure it ain't easy. |

im sure being a mod isnt all that great. i used to go to a forum where i was made a mod, but i didnt have any special powers, the administrator did everything and a bunch of us were made mods simply because we had been there the longest and knew the rules, and could tell new guys off when they misbehaved. but i couldnt ban anyone and it was such a crap board i left and went to other boards (like xltronic). after a number of months i returned to the old board and realised i was no longer a mod. the administrator said it was because i never visited the board...but he had only just demoted me yesterday and wondered how i had found out so quickly. :D so anyway i returned to that board for a while, but he never made me a mod again so i left for good. true story. |
