So he went kind of crazy. Did a ridiculous amount of shows last year. Then BAM! Gone. Like a flash. Was he just tired? Did he think "fuck off, I hate you all" or was it something more sinister, something involving a shovel, 5 egg cups and an old 19" computer monitor? We shall never know the answer to this question but I can tell you one thing for sure, looking at the squarepusher warp page makes me feel sad. I mean, "20.07.04 - NEW EP VENUS NO 17 OUT NOW!" That's just depressing isn't it? I live in hope and nostalgia every day of my life waiting for news of a new squarepusher release. If I hear the words "Venus No 18" then I will wet myself for sure. The idea of a Tundra 5 is just orgasmic. A terrible thought has entered my mind. May squarepusher turn into a lazy aphex type person? No? Yes? Who cares? I just hope many of you feel the same. |

I love his music, but judging from interviews...He does seem like an immensely strange fellow. I can imagine he is hard to deal with (regarding organizing live events and other things) although I don't actually know the man so could be talking shit. |
