funk the mental@sonotheque is proud to present
a special m3rck/narita recordings showcase featuring:

ADAM JOHNSON
Minneapolis native, and M3rck/Narita recording artist Adam
Johnson emerges as one of the the Midwest's most gifted and
dynamic new producers. Increasingly adept at melding
electro, dub
and experimental influences into his own unique style, Adam
can crunch the cranium as well as throw down the dance floor
hustle. Elegant, crystalline IDM rides shotgun with deep,
bassline driven minimal techno in a 21st century electric
soul stew.

YARD
Narita/M3rck recording artist, Yard, from Portland, Oregon,
brings his rare dancefloor destruction to obliterate
everything in his path. His sets are a rampant nod to
Detroit: breaks used out of context, hiccuping vocals
shredded through a meat grinder and cataclysmic basslines.
Yard's uncompromising sound evokes both gritty city life and
abstract organic atmospheres, creating the perfect
environment for shaking your ass and thumpin' your head.
Expect a night of well-crafted dance music and shuddering
walls of sound.
