2 of them drained, 2 half full. probably.
i use them for my digital camera. the camera says they are empty. i put 2 of them in my discman. empty. i put 2 other ones in: half full.
q:
how many combinations of all four batteries must i put into the discman (or any other device) to completely drain them all?
i think
1-2 1-3 1-4
2-3 2-4
3-4
right?

these numbers being fictional numbers for battery 1 to 4.
so 1 and 2, 1 and 3 etc.

i cant take photos when the batteries are empty..
they need to be 100% depleted before i can recharge them.
if 2 are empty, and 2 are not, the charger will fuck up. it's also bad for the camera..
radio is on.

label the batteries 1234
run 1+2 till depleted. run 3+4 till depleted. run 1+3 till depleted. run 2+4 till depleted. run 1+4 till depleted. run 2+3 till depleted.
There... six different possible combinations
Play them in the cd player while you are doing something, or better, run them through flashlights that don't get turned off untill they are dead.

btw, most batteries are connected in series, which means they both drain at the same rate..
so really, if you run 1+2 till empty, and 3+4 until empty, then 1+4 will also be empty, along with 3+2..

Most modern discmen can go forever without dying. My mp3discman can go for a month on a single battery before it starts to show signs of dying.

interesting. it makes sense, but i'll double test this series just in case.
taxi: the discman isnt supposed to die though :P
but yeah with a good set of batteries it lasts ages.

You obviously aren't hitting it hard enough...
how are you going to keep it in line when it gets older and more dissillusioned?

it's at least a few years old and plays 99% of all my cds, even the scratched ones. it deserves a big thank you.
this one, except in transparent blue and shockproof not jogproof.
