i'm still watching tv on our old monitor, my trew away the
commodore though, we do still have the tapes i think, only i
gave away all the about 150 disks because we didn't have a
driver anymore and i got a tv for it, figured i'd copy the
bunch one day, to emulate on my mac or whatever just isn't
the same thing

bruce lee, because it was two player and could be
cooperative. the other player could be the ninja or the fat
green guy.
frankie goes to hollywood. i didn't even know it was a band
when i first played it.
ay of the fist
zaxxon
wizardry - not the american one, think it was british, it
was an isometric action game,
burning rubber. it took me years before i figured out the
car supposed to be jumping - in my 8 year old mind, i
thought it was just getting bigger and somehow immaterial.
worst game ever: zoids. oh my god, did that game suck.

Bruce Lee was so fucking great! I remember playing this all
day till I lost after 2 hours ;-)

Other fine games were "Giana Sisters", "Paperboy", all the
Epyx games (World, Summer, California) Games...
"Airwolf", "Rocketball", "Girls Just Want To Have Fun ;-)",
"Donkey Kong", "Ghouls and Ghosts"...

I really loved the pelican in "Cliff Diving" in World Games.
He was cute as hell. :-D

lol....man, all these posts are making me laugh and remember
SO much...

I always liked , in the game- WINTER GAMES or maybe WORLD
GAMES you could do Barrel Jumping on ice skates....it was
awsome...I would always setup and try like an impossible 19
barrels....man that game was fun....

Bruce Lee was also dope....I always wondered what that Green
Guy was supposed to be......
and they didnt have "continue??" in those days, so after 3
hours you died, you were DONE

Yeah, that was pure gaming man! Be a hardcore gamer or not!
:-)

Well, I don't really know what the Green Guy was supposed to
be neither, he looked a bit like Buddha with mislabeled
colors... Remember when he used to scream??! :-) It was just
a low "bloob" sound on your C64 but this sound and the dumb
face always made me laugh. Especially since I know I would
kick his ass soon! ;-))))

yeah i spent most of my time on this game callled WIZARD
where you had to run from one side of a level and grab a key
and than back to the other side to the lock......
but damn i SPENT SO MANY HOURS playing that game....

how about the really cool hacky sack level on CALIFORNIA
GAMES...i loved that one too

I really can't figure out what disciplines were included in
these games, I just remember them as a whole. :-)

So, I really dunno what game it was, but:

The Hackysack level was really cool, I LOVED weightlifting,
'cause it was exciting as hell and funny too (when the guy
cracked the floor ;-), another great thing was barrel
jumping (I think I once got 17!!), Ski Jumping was great
(ever forgot to push the button before jumping off?? ;-)),
Hot Dog was great (it had some pretty good IDM-like music,
the tricks were ridiculous, but that's what made them
funny), Caber tossing was just funny (never got the skill
though)

ahhhh, you really reminded me of the glory days! :-)

Best music was from 'IK+', 'Last Ninja', and the loading
tune for 'Platoon'.

Missile Command was my first C64 game.

F-19 Stealth Fighter and Bruce Lee I played the most.

The Way of the Exploding Fist was the best fighter ever.

turbo outrun and outrun are classic, but i remember them
more from the arcade, as well as afterburner.
first game i ever played was at my father's work on this
computer with a monochrome monitor, it wasn't space invaders
but some game where you were moving a shield above these
people while shouting with it at an ufo, this reminds of
those horribly cool games:
paratroopers, where you had this cannon to blast as many
paratroopers to pieces as possible.
namibie or some other african country, where you had to
shoot people who were trying to get to the other side and
which had a bonus level where you had a line of people you
could execute,
exploding fist (1 and 2 were already classics) three where
could fight with three people at the same time had a bonus
level where you had to kill off all these ninja's with those
stars,
and that's just a few examples of the sick games we grew up
with

I like Bruce Lee, all the Last Ninja I think I have just
about every game that ever came out thanks to the emulators
of course, my brother had the originar C64
but we eventualy changed to the Amiga600 later on.
