i guess what im wondering is, if i should keep that bassline
and build a 90's techno tune. or, maybe i could try making a
drukqsish track instead. (if i listen to the drums on their
own i kindof get a drukqs vibe).

i don't know, did i waste my weekend making this..?

no, but you should make it evolve. The bassline is good,
just vary it up with note/chord changes and some new rhythm
later on that complements a change in the drum rhythm (which
doesn't exist yet)

it's funny that you say there is no change in the drum
rhythm, because i spent ages putting little
fills/fx/variations everywhere. but i guess the overall
rhythm is the same throughout.

what do you think of the drum programming so far? i'm trying
to build really intricate beats (which i don't normally do),
but i'm not too sure if i'm succeeding. i guess i've been
working too closely with it and i can't really get any
perspective.

i'm a bit surprised that you like the bassline. :) i don't
know, it just sounds too much like commercial techno or
something.
