It's still at the (very) basic stage but I quite like the
result I managed to get out of even this early early
phase :)

Hmmm. I hope you plan on developing that more. Its neat that
you can make structured sounds programming in max (I have
only really ever bothered gettting so far as trying to make
tones). But that isn't really anything you couldn't do
without a tracker and some raw data sounds.

There is nothing you can do in Max that you couldn't do in
other packages...it's just a bit of fun playing about. I
have done more work since the stage shown but this patch is
basically just a stepping stone onto more complex stuff.
It's all a big game of learning :D!

But you wouldn't come up with that. Part (most?) of the
pleasure of programming in modular environments like Max and
Reaktor is you don't know exactly what's going to get
shitted out the other end. Of course as you code and listen
you pick up on things you hear and refine your ideas and
eventually you have warped reality itself into a gamma-octo
phase inversion ramscoop triskelion.

I concur. Its also a great way to interface more directly
with your intuition, where normally your brain might try to
take over. When you give your brain something to mull over,
the rest seems to flow.

ecnadniarb; I hope that didn't come off as sounding mean or
anything. Its impressive that you can program that far
ahead. Anything beyond reaktor scares me to heck! Although I
love working in reaktor as a programming environment.

Although... I do kind of disagree with the whole comming up
with that part... I probly wouldn't try to make stuff like
that now. That sounds a lot like the noise that I used to
make when I would reprocess sounds in the pitch shifter and
noise reducers in cooledit.

There are subtle variations in there that you might not have
picked up on when you listened. Obviously I could have gone
over the top but for this little thing I left it really
subtle. :)

i cant help but think that a fucking ace track makes its
production immediately redundant to the listener anyway; if
your gonna make a full-length track with the help of max
then great, sounds like you know what your doing and it
sounds good too.

It's all just a bit of fun, I have no designs on being
anything more than a hobbiest. I do agree with you though.
:)
