drukqs cd 1

every time i stick on drukqs cd 1 into my powerbook, it
reads it for a little while then spits it out again; usually
means that it can't read the cd properly. it means i can't
rip it with itunes, my preferred ripper at the moment.

cd 2 works fine; itunes sees it and i can rip it no
problems. cd 1 does not appear to have any damage - it
plays perfectly in my cd player.

is this a known problem?

I believe those cds are a little bended (almost
unapreciable)

anybody else with a mac can confirm they can feed in their
druqks cd 1 fine?

which print? i am assuming there were different versions
printed...

i'd tell you which one mine is, but i don't know how to
tell. will the barcode be unique or not?

I don't know if it's unique, but here's the barcode anyway:
5 021603 092129 (WARP UK-print)

heh just noticed 'www.warnermusic.com.au' on the back,
didn't know we got australian prints!

wonder if that's my problem. they fuck up australian prints
all the time (nin's the fragile, for example, was compressed
to fuck compared to the US release, and as a result a lot of
the detail is virtually missing. in fact - i own two legal
copies of that halo, anybody here in the soulseek channel
sharing a high quality rip of the US version?)

barcode is 9 325583 012938, btw

hahaha i just noticed on the bottom:

Aphex is a registered trademark of Aphex Systems Limited
and is used by permission

and under this (the funny part):

(This must be in same font, text size etc as rest of
artwork, and clearly legible.)

haha, jesus, somebody fucked up, is that there (the latter
part) on the US/UK version? it sounds like somebody stuck
that in the template then left it there. also, is there a
proper booklet in the other versions? all that's on this
one is a simple cover - thought there would have been more.

oh man, go australia, we're a country of retards. i think
i'll continue to import all my records.

Yeah, that message is on the UK-print aswell. Quite funny,
and not a mistake I think.

haha fair enough. i'd hope not, because that's one awful
fuckup if it is.

either that or they're copy and pasting from a request by a
lawyer or some bullshit, and left it there to prove a point.
sounds likely.

so, any other australians here with a powerbook that can
confirm or deny this?

i can't even read the cd at all; the powerbook just spits it
back out again. i believe it's actually the drive itself
that's not recognising the disc as valid; the operating
system never even gets a chance to see it (this based on
previous experience, though).

works fine in my cd player, though.
