unlocked because there are fucking pricks in the world who
want to steal a girl's discman!

yeah, it is pretty obviously gone. they took everything out
of my glove compartment and threw it all over my car, but
the only thing of value in the car was my discman, not that
it was really of much anyhow.

i could maybe understand the tempation if i had some sort of
expensive ipod or something, but a $20 discman? fuck you
motherfucker, get a job, i fucking made milkshakes for 3
hours for the damn thing

i've had my car broken into many times.

i swear, people are _so_ goddamn fucking stupid. every time
they've left more expensive things such as the face to my CD
player, but gone through my glovebox where i keep spare
change and gotten EVERY SINGLE FUCKING COIN OUT. i'm
talking even 5c pieces that get stuck in the corners when
you try to get them out. every single fucking coin.

it amazes me how stupid these people must be. seriously.

culver's? i've never heard of that before! ah, i see -
it's a midwest chain. wild.

ButterBurger®
ButterBurger® is a burger made from fresh, ground chuck
blend that is 100% U.S. beef. It is seared on a hot 475º F
grill to seal in flavor and sandwiched between a lightly
buttered, toasted bun (hence the name "ButterBurger®").

oh and i had an amp nicked once too - it was worth fuck all
(only a very shitty 2-channel) but the entire back of the
car got ripped to shit when they were trying to get it out.

worked out ok because i had it replaced with a 4-channel and
it sounds way more kickass now, but jesus, people are
wankers. the stupidity of some people leaves me amazed
sometimes.

yeah, i had a bunch of cd's nicked too at one stage; missing
stuff out of my nin halo collection, now. fucking sucks to
have cd cases in your music collection missing the cd's.
collected the full set, too, some of the rarer albums cost
me quite a bit. :(

it's funny for me to imagine them doing it actually.
they've probably never seen a car filled with as much
garbage as mine. i am the messiest person alive, no doubt,
and the legroom of the passenger's side is filled (no
exaggeration) with empty bottles and cans. at least i don't
litter. they have probably never seen anything like it
before.

id also like to point out that i'm quite sure the horrible
snatching of my cd player was completed by an opportunist
and not a professional criminal. so...doubt the fucker
would have even known how to steal my car...madison doesn't
really stock in the pros......at all

watch my car get stolen right after i post this, i'm jinxing
myself

The thing is, there are plenty of people out there who make
a living off of rummaging through peoples cars, stealing one
or two valuable items and leaving everything else around.
These people are professionals, but they don't specialize in
stealing vehicles. They probly just noticed your car, saw
the cd player, and then noticed the unlocked door. A lot of
these kind of people work in pairs, one doing the scouting,
then acting as a lookout, while the other does the breaking,
entering and theft. Generally, these kind of people use
drugs, and find TFA (Theft from Auto) more profitable than
panhandling.

The fact that your cd player was stolen, probly meant that
somebody saw it, and targetted your car. The fact that you
left the door unlocked, probly saved you from a broken
window, so don't feel too bad.

The safest way to protect your car, is to bring all your
valuables with you, roll down your window, and leave your
empty glovebox open. If you show them there is
nothing to steal, they will ignore your car, and move along
to the next one.

man, thats weird. i just got out of work (at a shitty bar)
and as i walked down the street towards the car....to my
horror.. someone smashed the rear window with a bottle of
beer. what complete fucking wankers there are. they didnt
steal anything, they just caved my back window in
completely. i'm really fucking devastated by this. i cant
believe people can behave like this...its gonna cost a lot
of money to replace too
:(

this cd player isn't going to get anybody any money any way
you cut it.

the cd they took was just a burn of a record, so no big deal
that way.

Generally, they can find someone to trade it to in exchange
for a small ammount of drugs (probly a rock of crack, which
has a street value of $5. I don't know how much flaps of
heroin or points of meth are). Either a dealer, or a
friend.

Although sometimes they find out what they have isn't worth
anything, so they end up passing it off to people for a
couple dollars.

ok, i do just have to mention that i live in madison,
wisconsin which is virtually crime free and i'm fairly
positive it was just some kids goofing off because now that
i think of it, i could hear people outside my window yelling
and screwing around but didn't think much of it because once
in a while my neighbor has a small party. i imagine some
kid took a dare or something stupid like that.

i'm sure in other areas this sort of analysis is feasible
but having lived here my entire life i know otherwise. plus
my roommate leaves his car unlocked all the time, and he's
got a real cd player actually installed that he left the
face plate on..parked right behind mine last night, they
didn't touch a thing.
