His compositions are always top class.
And he certainly isn't new in the business.

freeform is so overlooked it makes me sick almost. his sound
is completely unique and his production work is amazing a
lot of the times. and yeah, even at 95 when he released
"prowl" on warp he was kicking everyones ass on the label in
terms of production skills. yes even autechre as far as im
concerned--its a shame warp didnt keep him.

his album pattern tub is probably one of my favorite albums
ever. too bad its very limited.

i don't really like wildcat.

i really liked human though (you should get out more is an
awesome song), and well, free ep is kick ass.

So you say a new album is coming out next week or so, i ask
you if you like the artwork and you say:

"of what?"

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE; AM I LOST AGAIN?

yeah, next time try to bury your links even deeper!

I don't like it that much. it looks too much like a cover
The Prodigy would think is "cool".

I'm afraid I've probably earned a good smack from you many
times over already, too.

that sentence didn't further my plight.

I saw the smiley-link.

And i think the artwork is quite cool in a stupid-ish fun
way.

And furthermore, i've never heard any freeform, so any
recommendations as to where to start would be most welcome.

"wildcat", the EP he did before the upcoming album, is very
nice. I think you'd like it.

also, I have mentioned this before, notice the similarities
between The Board's Own Skink and mr. Simon Pyke (as
depicted below).

:)

yeah as qrter states wildcat is great, different and not for
everyone. Human had a few lovely tracks ad one of my fave
releases of his was glotch. I live that song, it always puts
me in an excellent mood. Very talented, started making music
and releasig stuff very young. Been on quite a few labels,
and his own freefarm has plenty of intersting
finds.

I thought "human" was okay - it doesn't work very well as an
album, I kind of lose interest while listening.

i gave up after "elastic speakers," "prowl" and "glob" and
the next full length, can't recall the title. not bad, but
not particularly memorable. to me, his status as second
rate is generally deserved...

I agree it doesn't work as an album much. I like "you should
get out more", it seems to have set the tone for wildcat a
bit.

other stuff, but I didn't think Human was very good, I
should listen to some more I thiiink.
