From Bleep...

"The file sizes are many times bigger then standard MP3,
hence FLAC products are priced higher on Bleep.
(eg "Untilted" is 327Mb in FLAC compared to 72mb as
Mp3...)"

Before they announce the price it's going to be, what do
folks here think they'd be willing to pay for a lossless
version? Presumably it's going to be less than the CD copy
but by how much? Couple of quid more than mp3 (£6.99)? More
than that?

There's prices up there. I saw that Basscadet was 3.99 in
flac. Which seems like about CD price.
I notice they said flac was "near lossless" when it's
"actually lossless".

Oh fuck, are they offering Ae's backcat in flac too?

Most of them. A few missing, lick Cichli Suite and the
vinyl-only stuff.

Cheers xceque,

I can see the prices are beginning to change one release at
a time, at my end. Ok, so an extra quid or so on an EP, I
can do that. Amber seems to be £6.99 as MP3 and £9.99 for
the FLAC version. Hmm, not too bad I reckon, it's got to be
better than £15+ on the High Street for the CD.

Doesn't really help our N.American cousins though,
considering the dollar is so weak at the mo.

If the splitrmx and keynell remix had been available, I
would have bought them, if only to preserve my copies. But
then again, I can make the flac's myself...

If I was going to be really pedantic I'd point out that the
Keynell remixes are filed under Gescom, but I won't :)
They're not in flac there anyway either.

Be as pedantic as you want, I don't mind ;)
