I just got Phizzms new EP and its flawless! Havent been this excited by a release since I dont know when, maybe Ultravisitor. Im really looking forward to a full album and I hope he release one soon.
The only thing that im a bit disspointed with is that the "small comfort" track is so short!?!? its one of the best tracks I ever heard in my life (just like Roygbiv from BOC, they said something like "it was our intention to make it short, because beautiful is short, we knew everybody woul want it longer")
2 min is waaay to short for a beautiful track like that. It could have atleast been 6 min :) Anyway the EP is AMAZING! not one weak track! Every track is melodic and sweet for the ears.
thanks Phrizzm for a wonderful EP! :)

It is hard to bracket such original and musical electronic music, as Prhizzm's direct influences (Mouse on Mars, Orb, Pink Floyd) only hint at the overall musicality. What is unique, and executed in an expert manner, is the writer's ability to build on a basic idea to the point where there could be 3 or 4 tracks within the one. Start / Middle / End: something that is sadly rare in today's library of electronica "stars". Prhizzm redefines the attitude and approach to making electronic music and is careful to introduce as much of the human touch as possible (regular use of live instruments). These are SONGS, and it is perhaps telling that the audio adventures of Floyd in his childhood still echo in his music today via style and attention to detail.

Prhizzm releases what has to be the most powerful debut electronica ep to date.

this is actually pretty nice! A shame Benbecula records are always nowhere-to-find in my neigbourhood.

there's a secret track on it too, if you 'rewind' from the start of track one.

I prefer the simplicity of the first half of the track but still very nice! Very elegant melody.

I totally agree with the opening comments about this EP, i've had it in the CD-player for several weeks and it simply does not want to escape. Here's a little more info..

"...Built from granulated layers of synthetic sounds and micro-movements of particles, The Prhizzm EP is a joyous explosion of electronic ephemera that is both sagacious in its construction and innocent in its expression..." -- --

I'm actually not a huge fan of this album..... I like it, and is, by far the second best album in 2005, but it just is all starting to sound the same to me....
