In nearly 7 years I have knocked out about 6 albums, none of them published (and most of them within the first 2 years), am fully versed in practically everything you can do with the fruity granulizer (I spent about 2 months making songs with a couple synths and a bunch of beats being run through the granulizer as my only sampler). I have come close to emulating a few of the things Æ did on this album with that tool, but not close enough. And it always kinda sounds the same. Not like I am an expert or anything, but I know my way around it. CrusherX gets you really close, but not fruity granulizer. |

I hated it, then liked it. Upond downloading lots of plugins and reading about some I'll never be able to afford, I dislike it again. I loved Confield and bits of Draft (and all previous Ae albums) for their atmospheres and structures. But this has neither-it's just mashed beats, completely ridiculously (in *some* tracks, at least) fucked structures, and it sounds like them wanking off with crazy beats and some nice new software/plugins. /rant over. |

after reading the posts, and those in Lee's thread, id have so say that i excited about the new autechre, your always going to have people who hate it for no reason at all, or its not exactly what they wanted/needed, your going to have those who hate it cause "autechre have already hit their peak", but im excited for it SIDE NOTE(kinda): nacmat, i hope for your sake its not vinyl only :) i know you have a few plastics under your belt, enjoy them ! |
