I think, maybe it is a bad circle.. it got bad because some
people left, then it got worse 'cause others were
discouraged because of this.. then more left because they
were discouraged, which made more enduring members
discouraged and then they left and so it spirals down into
infinity. In the end this place 'll have one thread a year
where phobs talks about a new release and then qrter asks
when the search is coming back.

maybe everyone just needs to lighten up again. I find that
looking at the manipulated pic of ceri on his bike can
always cheer me up.. maybe something for everyone else to
try?

the only thing i've noticed is that some people that i
really like don't seem to be posting as much anymore.

otherwise, the board seems basically the same as it did when
i joined in '02.

Actually yes it has. I think this is the first time that i
flat out admitted it.

Although i am well aware that things go in waves or cycles.
This is a big downtime. What is missing here is a lack of
humor and some of the "humorous" threads lack originality.
Alot of the threads going around are just rehashed.

There is an overabundance of analord/untitled threads. Plus
i think certain regular posters seem to be more busy.

I do think that this downtime is necessary. It gives a bit
to mellow out and recharge. The next wave of hilariousness
will come and we will all remember why we've been members
for so long!

If you know silly/funny people perhaps get them to join.
Some fresh faces wouldnt hurt. It would mix things up a bit.
So i will save $10 and i will go back to posting odd pics
and semi naked women. That is what we are lacking!

hmm... i guess either i've been too pre-occupied to notice,
or i am easily amused (or both). i've laughed a lot at some
recent threads... but i do see how it is a bit on the dull
side these days. good thing it's happening at the start of
spring! time to go outside rather than hang out on xlt! ;D

music/and what have you (have you ever seen my "shit vs.

if ive ever said anything to you DeadEight that made you

im supposed to be :)

"Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by
dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes: assholes that just want
to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with
assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an
asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks
is: they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate -
and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes,
pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes
themselves... because pussies are an inch and half away from
ass holes. I don't know much about this crazy crazy world,
but I do know this: If you don't let us fuck this asshole,
we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in
shit! "

Oh, so the release of General Olusegun Obasanjo from prison
indirectly led to the lowering in standards on the XLT
messageboard, directly affecting the quality (yet inversely
increased production of) IDM records. It's like Dr Jeff
Godblum says in Jurassic Park "There's, another example.
See, here I'm now by myself, uh, er, talking to myself.
That's, that's chaos theory.

Whenever life get you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough.
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enu-hu-hu-huuuuff!

Just - re-member that you're standing on a planet that's
evolving
and revolving at 900 miles an hour,
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
the sun that is the source of all our power.
The Sun and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
of the Galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our Galaxy itself contains 100 billion stars,
it's 100,000 light-years side-to-side,
It bulges in the middle, 16,000 light-years thick,
but out by us it's just 3000 light-years wide.
We're 30,000 light-years from galactic central point,
we go round every 200 million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
in this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,
in all of the directions it can whizz,
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light you know,
twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed
there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
how amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in
space,
because there's bugger all down here on Earth.
