He was the first Pope who spoke openly about poverty in the world vs. capitalism, about bad condition of catholic church, the first who was open for other religions, the first who respected and loved people of all nations and religions. For people from my country he was the guy who caused the beginning of the end of the communism. And by the way, he had great sense of humour. You would be surprise :)
