i think it is ace , i read a great interview with him , he says he's kind of been holding back for a while and this is what hes always wanted to do - he quite smoking pot in the process and put it all into this basically. best warp release this year for me. closely followed by the new prefuse//// |

Lidell is a genius, i've thought this since seeing him live at Halloween in 2003. His 2004 Royal Festival Hall appearance cemented his place in Electronic music stardom. I still rank it in my top 3 live performances ever, although i am going to see Sigur Rós next weekend...so all this could change. |

Didn't think much of Lidells first album. Probably didn't give it enough attention. Then I saw him live in 2004 and he blew me away. I think multiply is a great record; really soulful and funky - and also very different to the mesmerising live Jamie Lidell experience. I went to see him tour to promote the album, and again he blew me away. Possibly the most compelling live performer around at the moment I reckon. |

Friend of mine was production assistant on a Radio4 interview with Jamie Lidell at the weekend. Took him to the pub for a drink too - silly girl didn't even know who he was! Still listening to this album nice'n'regularly. Just got the promo of the Multiply single through to review this morning. There's a Herbert remix on it. |
