mix vs mixtape?

is there some semantic difference between these two words?
I mean.. is a mix something where you, like, take the drums
from one track and the melody off another to make a new
track, and then arranging this in a mixtape-ish fashion
while a mixtape is stricter, no special tricks and almost
just a lineup of songs being played consecutively? I'm just
asking to know what to lable what I'm doing correctly so as
to not create false expectations... I don't know if I've
asked this before, but I don't remember the answer anyway.

also I am bored.

I would say...

Mixtape = A dj mix or collection of tracks recorded onto a
physical medium.

Mix= The same but performed live / broadcasted / uploaded

i thought mixtape was for cassettes, and a 'mix' was more
general...

ive heard some 'mixed albums' where most of the songs were
just one after another, neither mixed nor with any gap
inbetween tracks...

a mix flows together usually and tends to share the same
tempo amongst the songs

a mix tape is just a collection of songs, although in many
cases they share a theme or perhaps are just favorites of
someone's

fact: mix tapes are the single greatest medium for music
sharing ever.
