What is this? Well.. I had this idea.. get several music-makers together and make a track. Each will make their part (one to bass, one to melody, and so-on) without listening to the others' part. A BPM and maybe a theme or scale is decided beforehand, and when everyone is finished, it is mixed by one of the participants or preferrably a person that only does mix. The general idea for the tracks is that they're supposed to be as spontaneous as possible, which means it would be preferrable for them to be done within an hour or two (including the process of getting artists), so don't sign up unless you haven't got time. It's dat time again, people. It's wednesday today, and it's early in the day, so perhaps getting artists will be easier... maybe not, though. Anyway. Today will be a 3/4, just to try it out. It's not hard to make, it's a waltz rhythm, and most programs have settings to change the bpm if you can't get at it naturally. If 3/4s get too hard for people, we can change it to 4/4s... no links to parts in the thread either, people. I'm pretty shot myself, btw, but I'll keep an eye on this for a while. if it doesn't pick up, I'll go to bed.. it doesn't matter who hosts the thread, the track will be an exquisite corpse, and I'll host it on the page anyway. |
