I have a mint copy of the What Evil Lurks EP so I'm hoping their careers last a good long while...worth a good £100 so a good investment for my £2.50...
Bought it off Liam Girlfriend, believe it or not....I'm a Braintree boy, you know...
But, yeah...they aren;t exactly what I'd call cutting edge or even vaguely progressive...
Sad as I repect what they did in the early days but anything post-Firestarter and including FS, leaves me cold...

Hey Pinkhead! :-)
Looks like everyone liked Firestarter...
I've never really considered them electronic, I dunno... I lumped them in with alt rock, for some reason.

I thought his name was Liam Howlett? I like lots of their stuff, but You're right it does sound a bit cheesy now, less hard and rough than it first did.

o yeah. they were among the artists i was fond when i was introduced to the electronic music industry. they (Liam Howlett a probable exception) pretty much sold out when they reached mainstream status, shortly after i got into them. durn.

supposedly Liam is exclusively responsible for producing all the music itself.
probably some of the most prominent Prodigy songs were: Poison from Music for the Jilted Generation, Firestarter from Firestarter & Fat of the Land, & Breathe from Breathe & Fat of the Land
Even though Molotov Bitch off of Firestarter wasn't a big hit, I used to dig it.

the other white dude is Liam..sounds like a lot of conflicts started once the "dancers" decided they wanted to write songs and stuff...Liam's not bad and churning out snappy hooky assembly line electronica..just gets a bit tedious because the songs have no depth..the only song I can still enjoy is perhaps "Voodoo People"

Music For The Jilted Generation has to be their best to date. Dunno, I think that considering it was released in 1994, they sounded ahead of their time at that point.
Im quite partial to listen to Voodoo People, Break And Enter, No Good and Claustrophobic Sting once in a while...

Liam is the plain looking white one, Keith is the one with the mad hair (Main guy in the "Firestarter" video). Leeroy (now left? He's doing solo stuff) is the really tall half cast guy. Maxim is the black guy who has left.
