hmmm, I think the first piece of electronic music I bought
was the single Poison by The Prodigy way way back... then I
bought Mezzanine when it first came out, but never really
got into electronic music till I bought Insides by Orbital
last may I guess it was... since then I've had no money...
but I've increased my electronic music collection a nice
bit... :)

Aphex Twin, and other electronic artists...

ophecks - you heard wrong! i don't hear any aphex similarity
in "idioteque", i think journalists just say that cos it's
one of the few (the only?) respectable electronica artists
they know of. damn d00d that's so recent, you speak like
such an expert on aphex for someone who just got into him at
the tail end of 2000 ;P

Yeah, I've only REALLY been into him since early 2001.

As for the Idioteque comparison... I read it in Rollingstone
or some other clueless magazine... so that explains it. ;-)

Whether or not Idioteque IS Aphexy, I'm very glad I read
that review!

Pretty Hate Machine, I think, '91 or 2. But that was it for
quite some time. Skinny Puppy really got the electronic ball
rolling when I was in high school.
