So I bought God of War for PS2 tonight, because pretty much every review has christened it a modern day masterpiece, and it most certainly is, yes.
Everything about the game just screams EPIC. Maybe the best graphics on the PS2, super-duper intense orchestal soundtrack (the soundtrack is bonechillingly great), beautifully rendered polygonal tits (complete with NIPPLES), an expert blend of violence and adventure/puzzle solving, truly immaculate cut scenes... I shiver while I play this game. It's just so, so, so... rad.
I also bought Devil May Cry 3 the other day, and that's a real scorcher, too. But I think I'll devote my time to God of War first. Anyone play it yet? You do need to play it.
As of press time, Gawd of War is currently the sixth highest rated game of all time on gamerankings with a sparkly warkly 96%.

I say this a lot because I love video games, ho ho, but... this game is something special. Can't hype it enough.

I lied, it's in fifth place, behind-
1- Legend of Zelda- Ocarina of Time 2- Metal Gear Solid 3- Soul Calibur 4- Metroid Prime 5- God of War
Good company, except Ocarina of Time is an overrated brontosaurus.

Owned.
I think God of War literally passed Tekken 3 like 5 minutes ago, because I could have sworn it was at spot 6.

The gameplay is a lot like Zelda on steroids, minus the overworld. That's a good thing, since the dungeons are the meat of any adventure game. And the boss battles are very imaginative and exciting and handsome. The gameplay is without flaw, as far as I can tell.

I've never heard of god of war but now will definately have to check it out. I actually finally bought grand theft auto 3 (I'd never played any of those) and that game is indeed very fun even though I don't normally like that type of game. Also I bought sly cooper and the theivius racoonus which is an excellent game without overcomplexication.
I have soulcalibur for dreamcast and it seemed like garbage gameplaywise and I never got into it.

Oh shit I spelled ''orchestral'' incorrectly. Groan.
You'll dig GOW. This game had no hype leading up to itssensational release so I need to spread the word.
I love Sly Cooper. Great style, fun game. Felt like playing an edgy, groovy cartoon. Nintendo could learn a thing or three from Sony's platformers, IMO. They need to update theMario series and make it more like Sly, smart and sophisticated and hip. I propose something like this-

Well since Ophecks is the king of video games around here I immediately went looking around for more reviews, screenshots and movies. I must say I cant find a bad review even when searching for "god of war sucks" on google. I'm just waiting for it to arrives now.
