in about 15 minutes my show starts. tonight i'm starting it
fairly relaxed, with a few 90s tracks and one from the early
70s. you can make love to it, i think!

later on i'm playing a few hip-hop songs and rock. this week
and next week are airtight playlists.

artists from tonight's show:
Madvillain
Saint Etienne
David Bowie
The Sugarcubes
AFX
Depeche Mode (one of the highlights from the remix set)
Gang Starr
Mogwai (from new live disc)
Lauryn Hill
Coil
Mike Patton
Autechre
Air

begins at 10 PM EST (3 AM in the UK), ends 2 hours later

About a thousand towels. It's cold tonight.

mid-May...

it is, huh? i wish i had listened to the set late last year
when i got it, i'd have played a few other remixes by now.
the best one i already played though, and that's the
goldfrapp remix of "halo." LeCoeur is utterly CONVINCED it
would be a hit if it was given single release.

With what's out there right now, it would be so different it
would have a incomparable COOLNESS factor to it.

Allison Goldfrapp + Depeche Mode = BADASS!

everytime...

truly badass.. it's an incredible piece of music. i'd love
to hear more DM and goldfrapp collaborations.

my other favorite remixes on there are the ulrich schnauss
and headcleanr ones from last year, plus various extended
edits of classics as well as the just plain weird "people
are people" remix by adrian sherwood, "are people people?"

I always loved thiss track from AIR....
Its so beautiful....Dark and yet so innocent....on of the
highlights of the album for sure.

thanks! it's a good album, it just wasn't right for what i
was into when it came out. i was hoping for an album like
"alone in kyoto" (which i'm glad was tacked on at the end)
and it seemed kind of poppy and rocky. now i see that it is
but it's really well done and retains classic air elements.
it may even be better than 10,000 hz legend which i was
really into for a year and then stopped listening to
completely (haven't returned to it yet!)
