I quit college. Did a year in performing arts, then took a
shitty IT course. It was so bad that EVERYONE quit it !

There is an optional module in creating your own music CD in
my college. I am amazed that it takes a semester to teach
people that.

I studied literature, lit theory and philosophy, but there's
are good programs at my school (well, my alma mater now, I
guess) for jazz performance, composition theory, studio
composition, studio engineering…some great professors. I
took an excellent class called "world music ensemble" taught
by the one & only Dary-John Mizelle.

Pardon me for being frank, but what is the point of taking a
course in music production and learning about stuff like
midi? Is it just an easy couse too get credits? You would
get a thousand times further by sitting home and messing
about with the stuff on your computer then you would ever
learn in a class.
