the norwegian label 'rune grammofon' releases mostly modern
jazz/experimental stuff.. i would recommend supersilent and
scorch trio.

cud is a twin.

Kopernik
Andrew Pekler
Gastr Del Sol
Spring Heel Jack
Patrick Pulsinger
Shining (from Rune Grammofon... is a specifically Jaga
Jazzist related band)
Sun
maybe you'd like some of the Blue Series stuff on Thirsy Ear
like Matthew Shipp and David S. Ware... i'm not the biggest
fan of their stuff, but i know quite a few people who dig it
plenty... that's a bit more pure jazz than most of the other
stuff i mentioned

I was thinking that a lot of Jaga Jazzist fans would dig
Matthew Shipp. David S. Ware is a bit different, more
traditional as far as I know, but maybe you've heard more?
Isotope 217, Chicago Underground Duo/Trio/Quartet, I guess
some people might like Bohren & Der Club Of Gore as well.

good to know they are actually his acclaimed jazz work.

i'm quite a fan of his.

when i first heard ynq i feared that it might get boring
after a while, but well, it's relaxed, but it's also
exiting. i really like them. and then they simply have that
great vibe all of madlib's stuff has. you can hear the drugs
and the laidbackness.

true true...i haven't stopped listening to his collab with
dudley parkins for some time...actually that one made me go
search for more instrumental hip hop. :)
each and every madlib record or collab is superb...i really
like those kind of artists with whom you know you can't miss
out on quality.

no, i would defer to your expertise on such matters... Ware
was just the only other Thirsty Ear name that i could
remember at the time...
