Yeah I spotted this yesterday. I think the resemblance is
more than small and I don't think Planet Mu would sign an
artist so blatently similar to snares, so I think its him.
And as the poster on WATMM said, the voice on 'You're a Nice
Girl' is VERY similar to aaron's voice on stuff like 'Dad'
from WITBOAS.

yeah mu seem to be proper all about breakcore or gabba shit.
dont know how anyone can enjoy it; my limits are hellfish
and some mild snores (moonglow)...

This sounds really quite good, especially the title track.
Usually not quite as into Snares/really hard breakcore as
some of my peers but this falls into the kind of category I
can really enjoy.

is it just me or is there suddenly more analogue sound in
both drums and pads everywhere after the 'lords were
released? The Twin's influence is quite remarkable.

the rhythms sound like snares but not the production and the
samples... maybe a collab

Yes, Aphex Twin Vs Venetian Snares. RDJ has posted on that
board recently as analord so maybe something happened while
he was around those parts.

I think an AFX / Snares collab is the best description of
how this sounds. Pretty heavyweight collab if it were true.

It's pretty good stuff. Sounds more like something Mike P
would do than Aphex...doesn't sound at all like Snares to
me.

Its an American accent... listen to 'Dad' by snares, its got
to be the same voice.

from the mu forum

Hes clearly involved!

the new The Gasman is pretty far from breakcore.

i kinda dig the gasman's stuff. i wonder if his name is a
reference to the movie dumb & dumber.

Yeah I like him too. I think his ambient stuff is really
really great. Has the new album got lots of that on?

an Aphex & Vsnares collab would be a step down for aphex.

C'mon lets admit it. Aphex is 10000x better than vsnores. At
everything.

Well I think on this board he couldn't collab with anyone
without stepping down. But I disagree. It is an awesome
combination!

he could collab with Squarepusher and µ-ziq (which he has)
and thats not a step down. Basically i cant see him
collabing with anyone he doesnt know well in real life. It
just seem illogical for him to do.

However, producing is another story.

Yeah I get ya. But I reckon they do know each other pretty
well... aaron has said on his msg board a few times that
they speak on the phone... who knows... Anyway I doubt if
that's what this, its just what the mix of styles sounds
like. Although I stick by my belief that Snares is a main
player in it.
