you've not really added anything at all. in fact you've said very little apart from you're listening to them and you like them. what do you like about them? do you see any comparisons in electronic music? try to be more elaborate! or do you feel special enough to have your own now playing thread? |

my first flyd thread was in feb 22nd the second was in march 1st and now this one considering I bought 11 cds in that period, take it that i have amde an effort not to post a lot more threads about it |

I did indeed posted about their relation with electronic music from my point of view... do a better search ok, I iwll elaborate: what is it that i like more about them: those epic ambient-ish 20 minutes rock suites, with lots of instrumental and only the needed lyrics.... with even use of samples and lots of loops in the musica structures abbove all hypnotic and beautiful my favs are the early 70s period (atom heart mother, meddle, dark side and wish oyu were here) the syd barret era was nice, but other bands did that better and after animals waters just gets stupid wanting to do it all... the band then stops being ahead of its time echoes, time, shine on you crazy diamond, atom heart mother, a saucerful of secrets .... all amazing works I am still assimilating all this new music |

I was eating a kebab in "Von Donner" yesterday, on my own (obviousy) and the chap who owns the place had a Roger Waters live DVD on, and it was awful.... until... on came "Eclipse" and I nearly sobbed. But I was at a low ebb and a bit whipsy, so read into that what you will. |
