Excellent stuff... The more i listen too it. The more i
love it.
I only have three tracks. But these are all fantastic.
I will definitely get the whole album very soon.
I was never really interested in Richard Devine's stuff.
But this album is definitely worth it.

lol@qrter

Its a great album. If you guys have turntables, pick it up
on vinyl for the locked grooves, they are short but sweet.

see him live, you won't be sorry..looking forward to his new
music.

Brilliant album, really amazing dark industrial futuristic
atmosphere and fabulous sounds and beats. I may like it even
more than Ae's later work.

thats a great set by RD but i have to say...

.. that fucking radio presenter has the most whiniest
annoyingest voice ever!! She sounds so insincere and just
absolutely fucking horrible. What i'd give to hear how
squarepusher would react to her sugar-sweet drole

"what are you ahn about you fat facking cow?"

.. nice set though.

tolstoyed: well she's full of crappy sound-bite hi-frequency
nothingness and lends nothing to the show. At least the guy
speaks normaly, informs you of stuff and gets on with
it....

"if she's pohhhhhhhsting, i'd just like to
sahhhhhhay.......... good mohhhhhhhrning.......enjoy the

and lot's of it quite ambient..i mean without beats..

haha, changing subject:

(email from richard)

Hello Brandon, thanks for the email. Yea, you are correct,
there are 13 lock grooves on the record. The ones on my
website, were just extra lock grooves I did that didn't make
it on the record. We are most likely going to make them free
downloads later on this year, on the site, along with many
new
lock grooves. I am glad you like them. Thanks Richard

Keyfumbler, thanks for the critique, but
sending blanket statements about the
"radio host," my wife, when you have
no idea what she really contributes to
the show, is not useful at all --sorry.

If you really knew what was involved
"behind the scenes" of our program, you'd
realize that we put a LOT of effort into
producing a quality show for the satisfaction
of the listening audience. It’s not about
our voices, it’s about the music and the
voice it transmits across the airwaves.

Thanks, but no thanks.

P.

LIPSWITCH is a better album in my opinion. Asect:Dsect is
more mature, it's his style evolved, and etc. But LIPSWITCH
is raw and hard like Gescom. Very funky but simultaneously
somewhat violent. Richard's best music is also his
unreleased stuff, his raw, powerful fat beats. Namely his
remix of come to daddy, a track called Anthracite, and a few
others. Leave asect:dsect alone for now get his older more
raw fat beats man.

I have a recent richard devine set where he plays some of
those unreleased tracks. there is some hard shit in there.

Yeah, I agree on the Lipswitch point. Swap, Trigger is
NASTY.
Those lock grooves are pretty ill too, some gems in there.
Hey cygnus - do you have any of those unreleased tracks you
mentioned? Are they studio tracks or taken live?

Btw-

Whats the deal with the last 2 items on his discography?
Sort / Lave on Ghostly & Schematic and a surround DVD both
in 2004?!?!? Did I miss these? Have they been postponed?

As far as I know they have been postponed. The same with
asect;dsect. It was advertised as a follow up ep to
aleamapper when it was first advertised in schematic in the
richard devine section, and it was supposed to be released a
couple months after aleamapper.

He just takes lots of time with his releases, and gets a bit
ahead of himself when he talks about them.

I got a recording of the richard devine show I went to.
About half of the stuff he did was unreleased I suggest
every on try to track down the warp magic bus track; mov
macros cause its awesome. Also the track '23 Metval 72'. As
well the Asect;Dsect promo ep has a couple different
unreleased songs on it.

Richard devine is the shit live. He is also super nice. I
talked to him a couple times, and even invited him to play
pool when I was really drunk (although he politely
declined).

The unreleased tracks I have are stuff he has played live,
live shows where he's played songs that aren't on CD's. I'm
not sharing them right now but you should be able to find
them on like soulseek or another p2p.

KEYFUMBLER and Zeus: I don't think she is that annoying
during interviews and etc, but, like, if I were getting
interviewed by her I might not take her seriously and begin
cracking up or scratching my head

And yeah Richard is totally a nice guy i'd let him date my
mom :)

How can you get the whole album to repeat itself on a lock
groove?

oh,
no, for the lock grooves, they are their own seperate
tracks, you have to move the needle onto them. Once you are
on a track it just repeats.
