My thoughts exactly. The crooks round my area look quite
different

thanks for scanning the knife, matvey! are those fish on
the handle? it's pretty cool - it has character. in the
second picture, it's most menacing.

r40f: yeah, there are some prettly little fishes.

tolstoyed: yes, czech.. of course the photo could be taken
everywhere else..

obara: no.. the pic was not digital, but it has been scanned
by some of my friends. I sent the queries to them. ... is
not something outstanding, just maybe some people work at
this and i don't want to offend anyone now.

it's alright in Kiev. Hot water, gas, electricity are all
okay.

Problems are in other towns like my hometown where they
haven't had hot tap water for two or three years, people
buy boilers. But the electricity is okay.
It's worse with villages far away from cities. There really
is no electricity at all and no other 'conveniences'. They
live as if it was 19th century, making everything
themselves. I've never been to such a village.

wrong hymn - that's a funny little scandal.. how did they
manage to make such a stupid error:)

wow, that's even worse than what was in the documentary.
they showed a city where the power would be turned off every
night. the video made me feel very sympathetic to those
people... it's extremely frustrating to see what seems to
be happening over there and not be able to do anything about
it...

do you know the name of that city? these events are like
rather long time ago.. at least between 3 and 11 years ago.
And not in Kiev - main masses of money are here because
people wanna live good in capital city.

no, i don't remember the name of the city, sorry. i don't
know the name of the documentary, either. i just saw it on
tv two months ago...

i'm sure it wasn't ten years old... the footage looked like
it was relatively new... could have been three or four
years old, yes.

so that stuff doesn't happen anymore? was there a
significant change in the government? it seemed from the
program that there were bureaucratic hitches that were the
cause of all the trouble.

honestly, i haven't heard about towns without electricity
during the night.. Kiev definitely doesn't have this
problem, Melitopol (small townie, my native) doesn't have
this problem, having chronic problems with hot water.
Zaporizhzhia doesn't have this problem...
