their 'moment returns' is a brilliant album, definitely in
my top3 last years albums, and i was wondering if some of
you could recommend me (and the panda, im sure he'd like
some more of this aswell) some more music like this..if
there is more of such music at all :)
thanks!

oh, that 1+3+1 thing with jelinek is just as
awesome..haven't listened to it in a while..i'd still love
to hear of more albums like this though :)

never heard of that... i shall look into it. :)
i dunno if it's similar to what you're suggesting, but you
should check out the Merck stuff. It's all really nice. . .
I recently bought 2 -12" lately that are really nice... And
just for 9 € each.

Merck: Ilkae
Merck:Blamstrain (Sansi Empler)

hmm, yes, it's actually very different...i can't get into
merck stuff, i listened to ilkae and some others but it all
sounds kind of too much similar for my ears..not my thing i
suppose.

this triosk stuff is quite unique - i suppose it's jazz but
very unique and sort of ambient sounding..the 1+3+1 album is
much alike except jan jelinek added electronic sounds to it
and it turned out fantastic!

In that style....
Scape ~ made some nice compilations....
And you might like this album which i find to be quite
fantastic.

"Alice Coltrane: Astral Meditations"

True about Ilkae though... i kind of agree. It quickly gets
boring.
But it's music i like listening too while im working, or
when im busy.
it's perfect background music... :)
But Blamstrain is really nice. Nothing to do with Ilkae.
not background music... :D

:)

i've heard of that alice coltrane before..not sure why i
haven't checked it out yet..i'll definitely do it now,
thanks!

and i might look up some blamstrain samples or something..it
can't hurt :)

Have you perhaps heard Bill Wells Trio? The album "Also in
White" is a classic.

i like everything i've heard from him so far..if i had to
pick only one album i'd probably go for 'stoke'. also the
album he did with janek schaeffer 'songs for europe' last
year was an awesome one!
if you're more into ambient, less abstract stuff, than maybe
you could get '7', and if you want something inbetween get
'host' (there's a vid of his live session for some radio on
this one..real nice thing to give you some idea about what's
he doing).
