it's ten years old this year..... mad. still sounds fresh
to me. what were you all doing ten years ago? did you hear
this album when it came out? i did and i remember being
blown away by it (well, i was with each ae album that came
out) but they really started to develop on this album i
think....

Oh man, it's fresh as hell. I bought it when it came out and
I couldn't stop visualizing the second bad vilbel robot when
I put it on. Then it got left on the shelf when LP5 dropped.
I began listening to it last year and was actually blown
away for the second time. Rsdio is one of the finest
endtracks on any Ae albums imo.

The progression from Amber through Tri Repetae to Chiastic
Slide is so linear and logical. This is true for all the Ae
albums, but most clear on those three.

that last track, as you mention, is awesome. the rhythms in
that tune pre-date a lot of the more 'electronic' hiphop
that's going around nowadays....

also, wasn't chiastic slide released before LP5? weirdly i
think i prefer all the odd-numbered releases to the
even-numbered. i love incunabula, tri repetae, LP5 and
Draft7.30, i never quite got the hang of Amber, Chiastic
Slide or Confield...

Yes, it was, but I played Tri and Chiastic simultaniously
until lp5 came, and I just rinsed that one.

It would have been nice to hear this when it came out. I
would've been 7.

Oh and Gnit is my favourite.

i was 16 - and funny enough listened to nin and nirvana
(gwar, alice in chains, tool, etc..) didnt think to much of
electronic music, although i was planting those roots at the
time.
