Do you all think drugs help or hurt your musical
creativity??? Do you think its too diffucult to stay
focused?

Don't know about drugs, but making music (like most art)
when very sleep deprived, makes for interesting (in
technically not very good) work. John Bratby (British
Painter, very good) used to paint till he physically
collapsed.

I use mainly alcohol as a creativity booster.

I can't compose when I'm pissed, I can't handle any extreme
noise.

I don't do drugs OR drink, so I haven't a clue. I'd think
not.

Alcohol and marijuana seem to make it harder to make
music.....other stuff seems to make it easier to
concentrate..

i think drugs (alcohol, weed...such stuff, not the hard
drugs) can give you crazy music experiences when you listen
with closed eyes..sometimes you get really bad trips, but i
like them. the bad thing is, after some time you won't have
these trips again. then you need more drugs...thats the
reason why i quit

i try to only make synth patches when i have weed or
mushrooms, it's the only true way to tweak shit to a razor
keen...

Are Halls Classic Cherry cough drops a kind of drug?
Anything in them? I suck on them quite a lot, even when my
throat isn't fucked up. They're addictive, or something...

Dope is always good when your listening to music, you always
seem to notice little bits that you miss when straight =o)

turn the music up.... you hear much more then. The Super
Furry Animals album Rings Around The World has loads of
stuff in it that i didnt hear before. I had it really loud
today and heard loads more!

I always come up with my "best" when I'm tired, cos i like
lazy music maybe...?

yes thats right, when you're stoned it seems to me like you
really hear more noises and sounds.

most of these tracks were at least started when i was
chemically enhanced. however, most of the technical stuff i
have to do in full un-compromised mental clarity. check it

when i make stuff stoned i always end up just using LOADS of
reverb and delay.

When i try makgin music on speed its usually ok, but speed
AND weed and i reckon thats teh perfect formula.

Never had the chance to make music on psychadelics, but i
could imagien making music on shrooms would be.
interesting?

When i'm pissed its absolutely SHITE. As in REALLY REALLY
bad :s

MDMA seems to make everythign mroe beat orientated.

Thats all folks :)

But i would have to agree that sleep deprivation is a MUST.
