I figure I'd give this a shot here because of all the different nationalities that come here. My friend has to do a project for school on German music. Specificially music from Munich. Anyone know of any bands out of the area? Or even from Germany at all? Even traditional music may be helpful... Just post links or info here if you've got it. Many thanks. |

Rammstein's now the most successfull band to come out of Germany so you might want to list them. |

yeah, i should think that rammstein would be much more popular than kraftwerk... but not anywhere near as influential, talented or musically-inclined. |

I am not sure but i know of a couple. Tocotronic and tomte being my favorites. I think they might be hamburg based however. |

munich: Lali Puna berlin: Einstürzende Neubauten ("invented" industrial in the early 80s and influenced ministry, nin, depeche mode etc) they are probably one of the most "important" german bands. |
