Big, no one gives a shit because:

If it's real, it's shit, boring, heard it all before "mad
beats" party like it's 1999.

If it's fake, it's shitter, boring, heard it all before "mad
beats" party like it's 1999.

Alright?

It is breaking my heart to read about this album here. :(

It went from being good, to being OK, to being worse than
average, to being a crime against ears...all this and I
still haven't listened to it yet. Not that I really trust
anyones jusgement other than my own.

its autechre untilted that i am listening to, kthx

I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but I
was listening today to Advance and that album has SEX,
BALLS, it makes you HORNY and DIRTY, plus it's "DIFFICULT"
to keep the gaylords erect. This fucking "Untilted"
mong-dirge wank is it / isn't it fan them, fan-boy
reach-around horrible mess is just what is WRONG with music,
WRONG!!!!!!!

Ok, i think leak 1 is them and it's fucking horrible, even
if i quite like a couple of the tracks I just don't want to
hear any more music like this, it's just... not good. Fuck
me, what is it with releasing 7 albums as the same band, do
2, if they'd done Incunabula and Amber, then classic, but
no, limp on, become weirder/more cliched. Aaaaagggh. Just
fucking shut up!

well i will give you two scenario's:

its not autechre untilted - i would say that it is a poorly
ripped to mp3 bunch of 8 tracks.

its autechre untilted - i would say that it is a poorly
ripped to mp3 version of untilted.

either way i would like to hear what the original edition
sounds lilke - as ive listened to leak 1 many times.

It's just good sound/beat fuckery for about 69 minutes.

Unlike Confield or Draft, which may you go "oooh" and
"aaaah" and stuff, this is just like...uhhh.."there." It
just "is".

YAH.

come on Dan, you don't like how Autechre has developed and
that really is all you have to say on the subject.

you try to bring it as if you really have a point that is
more than just "I don't like it", but you don't and just
about everything you say after that can then sadly be
labeled as "BULLSHIT".

You .. how dare you... frikkin... WHAT? Do I have to
deconstruct this mess, do I have to say "Ok, the logical
conclusion of all music is avant-garde jazz classical,
because that's the only way you get taken seriously by your
dwindling group of listeners, that get reduced to hardcore
fruitcakes that would be happier listening to their teeth
being drilled than any form of music that's (spit spit)
enjoyable"? Fuck them, it isn't orginal, was it Alvin
Toffler in dodgy book Future Shock said that people would
listen to music that sounded like the factories the worked
in, published in 1970? Ok, so people now work mainly with
computers, congratulations, you've created an album that
sounds like a system crash, YOU FUCKING SPECCY TWATS. Stop
rimming the fanboys, stop hiding behind being "difficult"
and release a fucking decent album you cliched
Hoxton-appeasing nob-ends.

Haha!! brilliant!
I see what you mean but i feel music should be taken out of
context sometimes.

it must be a pain when you can do what you like and have the
opportunity to release albums when you want only to be
reduced to i don't know what because of twat fans who wanna
see a meaning and a logic in everything.
it's just tracks.

( i wanted to write more and be a little more detailed, but
i can't explain myself too well, i feel like a sack of
shit.)

haha, it seems to me that the people here who don't think of

maybe it'll help if i just avoid those debates in the future

yeah

disasemble:it's his point, if you don't agree it's ok, it
shouldn't be a problem you know....

personally the only bits that i thought were really unfair
were:

"..the only way you get taken seriously.." bit and the
"..stop hiding behind being difficult..." one.

dog_belch is one of the greatest posters around, and i think
his comments are in a way healthy.... comunication is ace!!

I may have overstated the case, and fine, if this music
isn't for me then, you know, leave it alone, some people do
enjoy it so, let's... until I have anything worthwhile to
say I'll shut up.

what the hell are you on about?

I said all you really have to say is "I don't like this
music" and that's it. and that's fine. but you're trying to
make it sound like there's more to it than that and I
haven't seen any arguments that basically go beyond "I don't
like it".

that you hate all the intelectualising and fanboyism
surrounding this release - I'm with you on that one.

I think there are still quite a few people, like myself, who
actually like this music. and not to say to other people "I
like this music, I am cool" (to be frank, if you really
would want to do that you'd have to come up with something a
lot more obscure) or to read all kinds of semi-deep crap
into it.

I either like what I hear or not. and I do this without
context, which you seem a bit stuck onto (you always bring
up context in discussions and the thing is - if I don't
think it sounds good, the context could've been different
when it was originally released, it doesn't change how it
actually sounds to me).

it's not really any more complicated than that.

this kind of fits in a strange thing that happens in art -
when someone doesn't like something an artist has made,
people tend to make a problem out of this and then blame the
artist for this (non-existant) problem. it's shifting the
responsibility to the artist, while the audience has as much
responsibility, if not more.

I know what you mean, and you're a better man than i for
rising above it, and I say that, you know, without being
sarky... what is the problem... Context...you raise a good
point.... I think, or perceive, that the music, say of
Autechre, isn't genuine but relies on some kind of audience
going "Wow, isn't this like, totally out there" wankduggery.
Ok, I just don't like it... but why am I going on about it,
I don't like Busted but don't feel compelled to bang on
about it... but then Busted never made a decent record in
their lives, and Autechre have made some of the best music
ever.... I don't know, I'm too old maybe. I like
Stockhausen, I like some electroacoustic stuff, why does Ae
stick in my craw... maybe I should just say I like Autechre
up to ep7 and then leave them to the guys that like Autechre
only from ep7? Sorry everyone, I have, and i mean this,
wasted your time.
