Murdering insects

Do you feel bad when squashing a bug?

I just killed an ant. At first he lay there convulsing then
I felt sorry for the little thing so I put him out his
misery. When I was younger I used to burn the big spiders
that came into my room with deoderant and a lighter. I don't
do that anymore because they actually catch the irritating
insects, which is quite cool. Summertime is full of annoying
insects...

I made a thread about this in the summer after I massacred
about 20 insects. I felt mega guilty

I dodge earthworms on the sidewalk (yes, i know they're no
insects). I take spiders out into a shed near my house when
I find them... except for the HUGE wolf spiders in my
basement. They seem content staying downstairs, so I let
them be.

I do however kill spiders that get on me, and also bees,
because bees seem to like stinging me in the face even if I
promise to leave them alone.

I think bees are evil, and have rotten souls.

i used to be terrible as a child to poor insects. put them
in the frying pan, etc. didn't eat them either.

mega-guilty and remorseful.

fun at the time though.

serious question to all: can anyone explain why they feel
bad about killing an insect?

Bees like to build their nests near my front door so that
they can swoop down immediately as I open the door and sting
my face.

This is why I must kill.

Wasps, moths, flying ants, daddy long-legs. They must all
die. Any other small crawly thing is cool by me though.

I feel bad about killing insects because they are alive, and
it seems to me that they have as much right to keep living
as I do.

Maybe you'd think it would be okay to kill insects if you
ate them afterwards. Do it.

setting fire to them was the best. can of lynx and a
lighter.

still feel bad about it. the nostalgia is nice though.

Sometimes after i kill something I'll throw it in the toilet
and pee directly on it just to make sure its dead. Then I
flush it.

nerve center to feel pain. squash away.

what do budhists do not to kill insects and eathworms in the
ground when building their temples?

when i was a kid i used to squish em (flies) against the
window

i'd burn them with matches and lighters and watch them go
crazy too. i feel bad about that. i was just a kid though.

they should "GANG WAY!!!" at the ground just before they
build it, then all have a right old laugh (they're drunk)

I used to enjoy playing "War" with wasps. Destroy their
nests, burn them alive etc. I love most insects, but wasps
are vicious buggers (they often stung me for no reason).

A favourite trick was to have a coke bottle with dregs in,
leave it with the lid off near their nest, get a dozen or so
in it. Screw the lid on and then burn (on a low wood fire)
the bottle. You could see them staggering around in the
fumes, getting stuck to the molten plastic etc. I'd shudder
at the thought of someone doing it to a "proper" animal or
insect, even bees (which I like and they serve a purpose-
honey). The existance of wasps in no way enriches my life,
so I have no guilt about killing them.

I know it's taking it a bit personally and they don't
mean to be a pain, but they are, so I do >:D

one time I squashed a spider on the dock at some lake. A
million tiny red spiders went flying out of her and went
skipping about on the surface of the water. And that was
the beginning of fairies.

One time I was babysitting my boyfriends bearded dragon and
I was feeding him his crickets and about 5 fell out of the
case and were in my bathroom sink, I freaked out and just
turned on the water and saw them go down the drain, but then
the little fuckers were climbing back up and I freaked out
and kept the water running till they disappeared.

The only thing I felt bad about was that he paid money for
those things and I'm flushing them down the sink.

i don't squash bugs and ants anymore...
i was once putting ants on toothpicks, and then burning
them.
i then realized how their friends come and pick up the dead
bodies.
it made me very sad... And since then, i never kill any
insects except for moskltos.

in summer i try to leave the mosquitoes a chance by putting
the anti-mosquito device on but opening the windows, hoping
to make them leave (don't know if it's a stupid thing do to?
now that i think of it, maybe the devide doesn't work if the
window is open... or maybe it's just a killer and doesn't
have any repellant effect... em... : |) - then after a while
i close the windows and leaves the anti-mosquito on for the
night, hoping it quickly kills the fools who remained into
my room... no mercy, life feeds on life anyway. (i'm a
vegetarian since i'm aged... 5 or something, but i know the
world is cruel anyway and animals kill themselves as well so
why bother?)

but once i felt guilty because i sprayed a spider
with insecticide by mistake as i was on a
fly/mosquito-spray-killing-spree in some holiday location :
(
don't know if it/she/he died, it didn't fall but it walked
dizzily after that. i hope it/she/he recovered, but i will
never know.
oh well.

(by the way, i don't really mind that much mosquito
"bites"... what annoys me is the buzzing that prevents me
from sleeping at night.)
