Trainspotting

Got this on DVD recently and you just find it so shocking
and interesting. Previously I had caught bits of it here
and there but I now just saw it in all it's entirety. Those
thick scottish accents are a bit hard to follow at times, I
was looking for the subtitles for a sec ahah. Good movie.

I thought the movie was cool, but too boring.

Boring is the last criticism I would have expected to hear.
Trainspottin had glued to the screen. So intense.

Yeah no kidding man, I mean boring in what respect, the
comment about it being "cool" and "boring" seemed a bit
contradictory that's all. The soundtrack rocked, yes. The
part where the main character is going through withdrawl in
his bedroom and the baby on the ceiling, etc I like how that
minimal dance beat is in the background. And also little
things like how you see the ambulance drive by without
picking him up after ODing and they had to call a cab and
all that. In the US, people are a little more considerate
than that.. but I can understand it being different in other
parts of the world. I wonder if that scene with the cab/OD
was really that far from the truth.

yeah...trainspotting is very cool..
very surreal at times..like when renton is sitting in the
bar motionless..and everyone is moving super fast around
him..

oh and leftrightronic...that "minimal dance beat" from the
withdrawl scene is
dark and long (dark train) by underworld...cool track..check
it out

lol - u kno the club they go to? Thats where my parents met!
The club is down the road but it recently got demolished and
replaced with houses. A lot of it was filmed in my
neighbourhood. I think its an excellent movie.....its so
freaky. And i agree...the bit witht he baby on the ceiling
scared me,lol

If you thought the film was hard to follow due to the
accents try reading the book or "Filth" by the same author
(bette rin my opinion), they're both in "scotch".

lol - the accent arent hard to follow! Then again......its in
my dialect. Ill teach u,
Aye = Yea
Yer maw = Your mother (an insult)
Naw = No.

Basically thats "scotch".....3words:)

There's a second soundtrack? I've always wondered where
those other songs from the film ended up. Is it as
enjoyable as the first?

I'm downloading it now, I can tell ya in a bit.

Trainspotting is one my favorite movies
( Fight Club being numero uno)

The ending with born slippy? That's genius.

BOTH soundtracks have GEMS on them, i'm glad i purchased
them both!! =0)

i purchased the special edition recently....it's a intensly
interesting and very sad movie...=/

althought i've never been around drug abusers it had a very
'real' feel to it, tragic
